The various elements in the cockpit ‘wake up’ in sequence, from bottom to top, as if the car is readying itself for the journey ahead. This Welcome Mode illumination is one of the lighting systems that add to the sense of anticipation and feelings of distinction that emanate from the all-new Mazda6.

Newly-designed standard and blackout meters ooze quality and precision with their exciting, amber-red illumination and numerous stylistic innovations.

The downlight illumination system means no more scrambling around in the dark, as they conveniently and attractively light-up the cup holders at night.

This attractiveness also extends to the action illumination system for the audio controls. As you operate the audio buttons (on the instrument panel or the steering wheel) blue lighting around their edges responds by fading on and off in an intuitive manner.
